THE WATCHMAKER

José Cermeño is a unique watch designer. Innovative and visionary in a field deeply rooted in traditions, José dares to do what has never been done while relying on the foundations that perpetuate the love of watchmaking among enthusiasts.

Born in 1991 in Montréal, José has always been a contemplative. Attentive to the smallest details, he likes beautiful objects: well designed, well made and well finished. Leather goods, the automobile with a capital A, and of course watchmaking are worlds from which he draws inspiration from beauty and practicality.

José spent 4 years in Switzerland to graduate from the famous Vallée de Joux Technical School as a Watchmaker Practitioner. And it is within some of the most prestigious manufacturers, such as Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-Lecoultre, Breguet or even Blancpain that he made his mark. However, he already knows that he will experiment with his own approach to watchmaking. Respectful of the history and heritage of the biggest factories and the houses with which he learns, he is just as much admiring the creations of Romain Gauthier or Philippe Dufour among others.

After traveling around the world, it was natural for him to settle in Montréal and for his creations to be a tribute to this vibrant and dynamic city.
